Beta 5 · Release e187598

More complete coach-ready round capture

Detailed shot capture is more reliable, and round reports better preserve what golfers actually recorded.

Previous documented release: Beta 4.

Added

  • Save a partially measured shot-tracked round as a draft and return to finish it later.
  • Record fairways as hit, miss left, or miss right, and distinguish chip and penalty strokes with useful lie and high/low miss details.
  • Round CSV exports include recorded shot details in a ShotDetailsJson column; distances in that JSON are millimeters.

Improved

  • Submission guidance identifies the hole and missing detail when a measured round is incomplete.
  • Expired sessions and service failures explain how to sign in again and retry without discarding entries still on screen.
  • Reports show recorded shot lies and measurements; holed-out shots can correctly finish at zero remaining distance.

Fixed

  • Putt lengths normalize feet and inches consistently, and shots hidden by a shortened score are not submitted.
  • The shot-detail storage limit now supports legitimate 20-stroke entries.

Known issues

  • Enhanced shot capture is enabled only for VarsiTee Beta - Foundations; ask Coach Walter for a program invitation before testing.
  • Course and tee details remain manual. This update does not add a benchmark-based Strokes Gained calculation.

What testers can try

  • After joining VarsiTee Beta - Foundations, try a scorecard-only round and a fully measured round. Save and resume a partial draft, then test a chip-in and a penalty stroke and review the report. Use test data and send any issue through Feedback.

Beta 4 · Release e5e360d

A clearer, more accessible VarsiTee

Navigation, forms, feedback, and key tasks have been refined across desktop and mobile.

Previous documented release: Beta 3.

Improved

  • A compact mobile menu keeps the main round-entry action easy to reach.
  • Shared styles make buttons, fields, page headings, and feedback dialogs more consistent.
  • Keyboard users can follow the core account, feedback, coach, program, and round workflows with clearer focus and status messages.

Fixed

  • Loading, empty, validation, pending, success, and retry states are clearer on the audited workflows.
  • Audited pages now have descriptive titles and summaries, and text remains reachable at narrow widths and enlarged sizes.

Known issues

  • Automated keyboard and reflow checks have improved; a full manual screen-reader and assistive-technology review remains pending.

What testers can try

  • Try the app on a narrow phone screen and with enlarged text. Navigate registration, round entry, and feedback using only a keyboard, and share any remaining barrier through Feedback.

Beta 3 · Release 551e263

Clearer round setup

Starting a round is clearer about which details to enter before the scorecard opens.

Previous documented release: Beta 2.

Improved

  • Course and tee fields include scorecard examples, with a clear note that course search is not available.
  • If the organization and program names are the same, the picker now shows the name once and uses consistent field styling.

What testers can try

  • Start a round, check that the selected program makes sense, and enter the course and tee details as shown on a scorecard. Tell us if any wording is still unclear.

Beta 2 · Release 4af4f01

Registration form refinement

The Name field now matches the rounded size and corners of the other account fields on desktop and mobile.

Previous documented release: Beta 1.

Fixed

  • The Name field on Create account now uses the same clear, rounded input styling as Email address and Password.

What testers can try

  • Open Create account at a desktop width and a narrow mobile width; confirm the Name, Email address, and Password fields have consistent styling. Share any remaining visual issue through Feedback.

Beta 1 · Release d87e1d8

Round entry and shot details

This is the first tester update published in this feed. It records the new round-capture pilot without suggesting that VarsiTee itself is a new product.

Earlier releases are not documented here, so a version-to-version comparison is not available yet.

Added

  • Choose whether a round was Fun or Competitive, then compare the recorded rounds in those categories with sample counts.
  • Record from 1 to 18 played holes and choose the first hole, including a split-tee start such as hole 10.
  • Enter each played hole's score, par, and yardage.
  • Optionally record shot distances, remaining distance, and each putt's length; yards or meters are available for shots, and putt lengths use feet.
  • Save an in-progress round and return to it later.

Improved

  • Round reports distinguish recorded facts from unavailable details and show sample sizes for descriptive comparisons.

Fixed

  • Submitted rounds now appear once in the coach review workspace rather than in two overlapping review lists.

Known issues

  • Enhanced round capture is enabled only for selected pilot programs. Course and tee information, par, and yardage are entered manually; automatic course lookup and GPS are not included.

What testers can try

  • Try a short round starting on hole 10, optional shot details, and saving/resuming a draft. Use test data, then share any friction through Feedback; a screenshot is optional.
